Rex

Terms

Effective September 25, 2026

The short version

These terms are an agreement between you and SXNA Labs LLC (“we”, “us”) for your use of Rex, the text-message assistant at textrex.app and (628) 289-2421 (“Rex”). By texting Rex or using this site, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use Rex.

Who can use Rex

You must be at least 13. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian’s permission. Rex is in beta, and we may limit access, for example to manage capacity.

Messaging

AI answers can be wrong

Rex uses AI and live public sources such as dining menus, bus schedules, course listings, and web pages. Those sources can change, and Rex can make mistakes. Answers are informational only. Before relying on something that matters, like a deadline, a class, a bus, an allergen, or a ticket, check the official source. Student opinions Rex shares, such as posts from r/Purdue, are opinions, not facts.

Not medical, legal, or emergency help

Food logs and nutrition numbers are estimates and are not medical or dietary advice. Always check allergens with the dining location. Rex is not a substitute for a doctor, counselor, lawyer, or emergency services. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911. For mental health crisis support, call or text 988.

Not Purdue

Rex is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Purdue University. Purdue names and data are used only to describe and fetch publicly available information.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Rex to:

We may limit, suspend, or end access if you break these terms, or when needed to protect Rex or other people.

Your content

You own what you send Rex. You give us permission to store and process it only to run Rex and provide it to you, as described in the Privacy Policy. Don’t send anything you don’t have the right to share. Rex, its name, mascot, and site belong to SXNA Labs LLC.

Beta, changes, and availability

Rex is a beta. Features may change, break, or go away, and Rex may be unavailable at times. We may update these terms. If we do, we will change the date above, and continuing to use Rex means you accept the new terms. For significant changes, Rex will tell you.

Disclaimers

Rex is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, SXNA Labs LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or opportunities, arising from your use of Rex. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the past 12 months or $50. Rex is currently free. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

Indemnity

If your misuse of Rex or violation of these terms leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs, to the extent the law allows.

Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Please contact us first. Most issues get solved with an email. If we can’t resolve something informally, it will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Kentucky, and you and we both consent to that jurisdiction. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law where you live.

General

If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about Rex.
